Distant Love

Sometimes I feel inspired and write well. This was a case of great inspiration. This was written for someone special in my life at the time. Hope you like it. Enjoy.

"True Love"

                        Though miles separate us from each other,
                        My heart holds you close.
                        The minds eye paints vibrant colors,
                        Striking, bold, and vivid of your beauty.

                        Thoughts wander of you,
                        Your lips close to mine,
                        Arm and arm, holding on tight,
                        Never to let go of my love.

                        The smell of your perfume on the olfactory,
                        Stirs the heart inside my chest,
                        My pulse races erratic with love,
                        Soon you will be near.

                        The vision ends and my heart is heavy,
                        For you are afar and not at my side.
                        Alone to live in my dreams with my one true love.
                        I miss and long for you, my princess.

                        Time and love will bridge the gap,
                        For nothing will keep our love apart.
                        I will think and dream, always knowing,
                        I love you from the bottom of my heart.
